Whispers of Morning Light

Created through layered applications of oil and cold wax, Whispers of Morning Light evokes the quiet beauty of a garden just before the world fully awakens. Soft veils of luminous colour emerge from a rich, atmospheric ground, where delicate forms seem to appear and dissolve in the gentle light of dawn.

Rather than portraying a specific bouquet or landscape, the painting captures the fleeting sensation of first light touching the earth. Cool turquoise and deep greens are balanced by luminous whites, lavender, soft coral and warm golden accents, creating a harmony that feels both tranquil and quietly radiant. The textured surface invites close observation, revealing subtle variations of colour and gesture that continue to unfold over time.

This work is an invitation to pause—to enter a moment of stillness where beauty is experienced not through detail, but through atmosphere, memory, and light. Like the first whispers of morning, it reminds us that the day’s deepest transformations often begin in silence. It is 8″x10″ on canvas board $115 unframed.
